What To Expect

Massage ‘N Motion

            Therapeutics

Helping you nurture your body back to comfort and joy.

If this is your first time to have a massage, then you may want to know more about what to expect.

When you first come, I will have a short intake form for you to fill out.  I only ask you for information that you find relevant, no more.  As massage is a licensed health practice, I want to ensure that you only receive massage when not contraindicated.  Hence, the need for an intake form.

Waiting Area

After you undress, you can lie down on the table under the sheets, usually face down first.  Then when you are ready, I will come in the room and we can get started.

If you like a heated mattress pad, I also have that available to you.  There are a variety of cushions and bolsters for your comfort too.

It might seem complicated, but it isn’t!  So, please don’t feel like you need to do anything to prepare ahead of time.  Just come on in and you’ll be in good hands, wink!

Front Room

If you are unsure as to whether or not something is a contraindication, then please do ask.  If for example you have a cold or an active skin condition or acute high blood pressure, then a massage would be contraindicated.

After the intake form is completed, I like to go over it with you and ask you what type of massage you would like.  If you have aches and pains, then this is the time to discuss it.

We will then have you get setup in the massage room.  People generally wonder if they will have to undress or not.  The choice is completely yours, but either way you are always fully draped and only the parts massaged are exposed.

Vanity

If you would like a general therapeutic massage, then I will suggest you undress with leaving only your underwear on, but removing bras if you are wearing one.  Removing jewelry and putting your hair up is helpful.  There is a nice vanity table to change at and hooks to place your clothes on.
